3 Sisters Peaks Day Hike

where Superstition Mountains
the hike     This is a tough hike with some scrambling and boulder climbing but it is not so strenuous if you have done the last two hikes with the club you should be fine. We will start at Carney trailhead and ascent quickly to the top and continue over the Superstition Ridgeline until a mile before peak 5057. We turn to the left following the faint trail to the Three Sisters Summit and enjoy the stunning views. We will take a group picture and have a lunch break before the descent. We will bushwhack down from a ravine and scramble until reach the Lost Goldmine trail to see the Wave Cave if time allows.
    Start from Lost Goldmine Trailhead, then Carney Spring trail take the trail west up toward Boulder Saddle.
Bring:
•  At least 3 liters of water
•  Sturdy hiking boots
•  Hiking poles
•  Hat, sunblock, sunglasses
•  Lunch/sandwich/energy bars
•  Sunscreen
•  Camera

leader    Email the leader to confirm. The wilderness limits the group size to 15.
meet 7:45 AM at Home Depot
Mesa, SE corner of US 60 & Power Road.
drive
•  Go east on US 60 to Peralta Road, milepost 204.
Turn left and continue to the parking lot for Lost Goldmine Trailhead.
Park at the trailhead. No restroom. If you get to the end of the road you went too far. The Lost Goldmine parking is also the horse trailer lot.
