We met at the Desert Hills Trailhead at 7th Ave/ Carefree Highway.
The start time of 7:00 worked out great today for 15 hearty hikers. We circled up for
introductions before Dave French took the group photo.

Billie Horn led this hike in a counterclockwise direction, starting out on the Ocotillo Trail,
which circles around the hills and washes to the junction with the Sidewinder Trail, which
we followed the rest of the way, forming a large loop.
The weather was perfect today, clear and not too hot. We finished just as it was beginning
to warm up.

There are not too many ways to get lost out there, because the trails are easy to follow and
well signed, so the group was stretched out a bit and everyone hiked at comfortable pace.
After the hike, Billie and Neil led a car caravan to check out Elvis the camel.
I think most everyone liked that.
